The Dog Aging Project provides free Sample Kits to members of Precision and TRIAD Cohorts. If your dog has been invited to join one of these cohorts and if you have signed the Informed Owner Consent Form, acknowledging that you agree to the study requirements for participation, you will be able to inform us of when you would like to request your Sample Kit through your personal portal.
The first step will be to inform us of the month in which you would like to receive your Sample Kit. We ask that you try to request your Sample Kit in the month that coincides with your dog’s annual wellness check. After you tell us when you would like to receive your sample kit, you will be able to schedule your dogs’s appointment with your primary care veterinarian. These tasks will appear on the To-Do List in your personal portal.
As your dog’s veterinary appointment approaches, you will be prompted via your personal portal to confirm that you are ready to receive your dog’s Sample Kit. This task asks you to confirm or update the mailing address at which you would like to receive the Sample Kit. Changing your address in this task will update your primary address in our records as well.
Due to the constraints of the study, we need to complete all analyses in a timely manner. Please note that your ability to tell us your preferred month to receive your Sample Kit will expire after 40 days. If you haven’t informed us of when you would like to receive your Sample Kit by this date, it will be necessary for us to remove your dog from the research cohort. Your dog will, however, continue to be a valuable member of the Dog Aging Project Pack for as long as you want to remain involved.
