Sometimes (less than 5% of the time), the laboratory may not be able to process your dog’s sample. There are a couple of reasons for this. Sometimes sequencing fails because the saliva sample has been contaminated by dirt or even the bacterial colonies that are naturally present in the dog’s mouth. Occasionally, there may be errors in the laboratory process. In either case, if DNA analysis fails, our team will reach out to the participant to coordinate the delivery of a new DNA Kit.
