We recognize three categories of data users:
Dog Aging Project Researchers and Collaborators
Dog Aging Project Researchers are investigators formally affiliated with the project, who have participated in primary data collection, data analysis, and/or development of infrastructure to facilitate data collection. Dog Aging Project collaborators are investigators from academic or nonprofit institutions who have not participated in primary data collection, data analysis, and/or development of infrastructure to facilitate data collection but are co-investigators with a Dog Aging Project Researcher on a proposal, publication, or other project.

Open Access Data Users
These data users include researchers who are affiliated with an academic institution, nonprofit organization, or government entity, such as the National Institutes of Health, and who do not have any direct or collaborative relationship with the Dog Aging Project as well as educators, journalists, and any other members of the general public.

Commercial Data Users
Commercial Data Users include researchers who have an affiliation with a corporate or for-profit entity that intends to use Dog Aging Project data for any commercial use. The terms of data use and access will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
